The Greens had the last word in this 7th round of the Coupe de France, for their entry into the competition. Opposed to the amateurs of AS Quetigny, residents of Regional 2, the Stéphanois won by a score of 1-3.
Nothing was easy, however, for ASSE held in check at the break (1-1) while Szurlej (30th) had the nerve to respond to Eymard’s quick opening score (11th). The fog having imposed an hour’s interruption on the 22 players between the two periods, the Saint-Etienne pros ended up making the difference thanks to N’Guessan (48th) and Pedro (67th).
The appointment has been made for the 8th round of the Coupe de France – the last before the Ligue 1 clubs enter the fray at the end of December – in two weeks.
