Eduardo Camavinga will finally leave the Blues rally to return to Madrid, affected by a muscle injury. Arriving at the start of the week at Clairefontaine, the Real Madrid midfielder never trained with the group and was already out of the match against Ukraine (4-0). The FFF confirmed he will also miss Sunday’s match against Azerbaijan. Already anticipating this possibility, Didier Deschamps had summoned KhĂ©phren Thuram on Wednesday. Camavinga will now be examined by the Madrid medical staff in order to precisely assess the nature of his injury.

The player’s objective is to quickly regain his sensations to be available when the team resumes, with a first meeting in La Liga scheduled for November 23 against Elche, before a crucial trip to Olympiakos in the Champions League three days later. The Whites had no reservations about Camavinga’s call-up, but his inability to train since day one ultimately forced his premature return to the Spanish capital. New blow for the former Rennais.
