Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué… In recent months, Paris Saint-Germain has clearly not been spared from physical problems. Hit hard after an overloaded 2024-2025 season, the capital club continues, despite everything, to perform. Leaders of Ligue 1 after 12 days and 5th in the Champions League league phase, the Rouge et Bleu are, today, placing their trust in their Titis but also in certain newfound executives. Among them? Kang-In Lee. Called up with South Korea for the two friendly matches against Bolivia (November 14) and against Ghana (November 18), the international with 42 caps (10 goals) is gradually finding the light in the French capital.

Downgraded in the second half of the season during the 2024-2025 financial year and generally disappointing despite the 22 million euros invested by the reigning European champions (7 goals and 6 assists in 49 matches in all competitions), the 24-year-old right winger was even close to leaving during the last summer transfer window. Remaining at the club – a direct consequence of the 50 million euros requested by his management – the former Valencia and Mallorca player is finally regaining his splendor at the start of the season. Taking advantage of numerous injuries, PSG number 19 has taken part in 15 matches in all competitions since the restart.

A renewed morale

Although he does not yet have the starting status that he would like to benefit from (7 starts in L1, 12th playing time), Kang-In Lee has, despite everything, taken advantage of this particular context to send a strong message to his coach. Brilliant when he came into play against Bayern Munich (1-2), the South Korean had before that proved decisive against OGC Nice (1-0). A decisive passer for Gonçalo Ramos in added time (90+4th), the native of Incheon even did it again, last Sunday against OL (3-2), by putting the ball on the head of Joao Neves at the end of added time (90+5th). Two valuable moves allowing the Parisians to maintain control of Ligue 1.

Author of 2 goals and 2 offerings, Kang-In Lee finally confirms his revival. Far from his disappointing attitude of last season where he seemed mentally affected by his downgrade, the 1m74 left-hander has, in fact, regained all his liveliness and technical quality. “His state of mind is much better than that displayed last season. He put aside his moods and had a good reaction”underlined, in this regard, an internal club source. “You suffer from not playing, you say nothing and you accept the situation? It’s up to you to wake up.”he would have even made it known. With the trust of Luis Enrique, Kang-In Lee, re-motivated and happy in the City of Lights, now hopes to continue this positive spiral. This will start with successful performances in selection.
