Recruited for some 60 million euros last summer, Illya Zabarnyi is slow to meet the expectations placed on him. Imperial with Bournemouth last season, the Ukrainian central defender has been much less convincing since his arrival in the capital. Sunday, against Lyon, he was again responsible for the two goals scored by Les Gones.
While Marquinhos is likely playing his last season with PSG, the Brazilian’s succession still seems open. If Pacho has become the strong man of the Parisian central defense, Lucas Beraldo and Lucas Hernandez do not have the shoulders to take over from the former AS Roma player either.
To this end, the contractual situation of Dayot Upamecano could constitute a boon for PSG. Like Ihrabima Konaté, the former Valenciennes player will be at the end of his contract next June and will therefore be free to join the club of his choice from 1er January. Several European big names are already in the running, first and foremost Real Madrid, which has made it one of its recruitment priorities.

But the Parisian club is not left out and is ready to draw an offer if the French international has not extended to 1er next January. A no-brainer according to Daniel Riolo.
“He’s THE player we have to take there. Either, they (the Bavarian leaders) manage to seduce him and he stays at Bayern, because it is still an extraordinary club. But if you, in the battle of seduction that is about to begin, if he wants to come back to France… yes, for PSG it’s fantastic,” he confided to the microphone of RMC.
And despite the competition, PSG has some assets in its game, including the good relationships that Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos have with the agent of Dayot Upamecano, who represents several other Parisian players. “There is a boulevard”, added Daniel Riolo.
