Opponents of the France team during the last gathering in October, Azerbaijan and Iceland meet this Thursday for the penultimate day of this qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup (kick-off at 6 p.m.).

Third in the group behind the Blues and Ukraine, Iceland has regained confidence after its convincing draw against Didier Deschamps’ men last month (2-2). But the Icelandic selection is starting too far, three points behind the Ukrainians. Last in the group with a small unit, Azerbaijan has nothing more to hope for before its final meeting against the France team on Sunday.
