The situation is getting complicated for Xabi Alonso. Arriving as a hero last summer to succeed Carlo Ancelotti, now Brazil coach, the former Casa Blanca midfielder is facing major difficulties. Upon his arrival, the Spaniard shook the Madrid locker room by redistributing the cards.

From now on, Kylian Mbappé has become the undisputed offensive leader for him, while Arda Güler has settled permanently in the midfield. As for the Brazilians, Vinicius Junior and especially Endrick were pushed around. The first has seen its titular status called into question, while the second has still not been used. A departure for Lyon in the form of a loan without purchase option is becoming clearer for the young prodigy.

Sportingly, Alonso’s Real Madrid meets the objectives, even if the game is not always exciting. The Madrilenians are currently first in La Liga after twelve days, with ten wins, one draw and only one defeat. The icing on the cake was that they finally won the Clasico after four consecutive defeats against Barça last season.

Xabi Alonso under threat of ultimatum

Despite these encouraging results and the support of Florentino Pérez, the local press evokes internal unease. Several stars, notably Gonzalo Garcia and Dani Ceballos, both substitutes, began to show their discontent. Alonso is accused of wanting to control everything, of multiplying video sessions that are too long and of poorly managing his stars.

During the broadcast El Chiringuitoa speaker assured that the patience of Casa Blanca towards Xabi Alonso would have its limits, especially after the setback against Liverpool in the Champions League (2-0) and the lack of solutions. The Spaniard would have until the C1 match against Manchester City on December 10 to reverse the trend.
