Selected by Didier Deschamps for the French team for the November rally, Bradley Barcola is going through a complicated period. Author of only 4 goals in 15 games, the former Lyonnais seems worn out physically and mentally. For several weeks, his performance has been calling out, as he seems far from the explosive and cutting player seen last season. Exhausted by an interminable 2024-2025 season (64 matches played), the young winger is struggling to regain his feelings. And those around him are aware of it. “It’s very difficult to evaluate Bradley over the last few months, he often only plays at 50%” confided a relative of the player after The Team.

Affected by recurring muscular discomfort and persistent fatigue, Barcola tried to resist. Despite reassuring medical examinations, weariness remains very real. Accompanied by a personal physical trainer, he has been following prevention and regeneration protocols for several weeks, without being able to regain all his energy for the moment. The winter break could, however, offer him a saving respite, especially since the gradual return of Dembélé and Doué should allow him to breathe more. Aware of having to raise his level to maintain his place in the club as in the French team, Barcola will have to grit his teeth again between now and December before hoping, in 2026, to become who he was again.
