On YouTube, Pierre Ménès regularly shares
his strong opinions on footballand incidentally on other themes. Very active on social networks, in particular X, the former sniper of “Canal Football Club” is regularly the victim of insults.

At the end of October, the former sniper of “Canal Football Club” was threatened with death by an individual named Youness Rakin. His partner and his son were also targeted by his detractor, who made particularly filthy comments.

Faced with this unprecedented surge of verbal violence, Pierre Ménès chose to take legal action. “The complaint was filed this afternoon, at the Croisic gendarmerie, for death threats against me as well as against my wife”announced the native of Paris to his subscribers.

Pierre Ménès back in court?

As a reminder, death threats on social networks can be considered crimes. They are therefore liable to criminal sanctions. In 2018, for example, a man was sentenced to eight months in prison for threatening, on Instagram, to kill a teenage girl.

If Pierre Ménès’ complaint is successful, it could lead to a trial. The 62-year-old man would then potentially find himself before a court again. In the shoes of a victim this time. In April 2023, he was sentenced by the Paris Criminal Court to
two months suspended prison sentence for sexual assault. He was being prosecuted for accusations against two saleswomen dating from June 18, 2018, in a Nike store on the Champs-Élysées.
