If Roberto De Zerbi has boasted on several occasions of being able to count on “ a strong workforce“, the coach of Olympique de Marseille is today paying the costs of an overloaded schedule.

The infirmary has been considerably full over the past few weeks in the ranks of theOM. And it will still be well stocked after the fortnight of the international break, if we rely on the latest medical update concerning Nayef Aguerd.

Nayef Aguerd, strong man of OM.

While OM already deplores several long-term absences, De Zerbi will do without the services of Nayef Aguerd in the coming weeks. The Moroccan international went to the Moroccan team’s training camp to simply see the state of his injury.

Aguerd absent for the restart?

Victim of pubalgia, Aguerd was forced to give up his place at the end of the match against Stade Brestois on Saturday, won by Olympique de Marseille (3-0). The central defender received treatment in Morocco.

An absence of 15 days has already been mentioned, at a minimum, for the Moroccan international, especially as the African Cup of Nations, which begins in 5 weeks, remains a priority for the player. Aguerd could therefore miss the resumption match in Nice on November 21. For its part, OM expressed its desire to collaborate with the medical staff of the Morocco team to guarantee the presence of this essential selection framework during the CAN.
