A month after his time with the Espoirs, Warren Zaire-Emery returned to the France A team, more confident and efficient than ever. Gérald Baticle, the Bleuets coach, welcomed this temporary return as a useful step in the development of the PSG midfielder. “He had the objectives he was looking for: to come and have fun, to contribute to his generation and to regain his place as soon as possible”Baticle explained at a press conference. During his short stint, Zaire-Emery took on the captain’s armband and signed two convincing performances against the Faroe Islands (6-0) and Estonia (6-1), as part of qualifying for Euro U21 2027.

The French technician believes that this break allowed him to regenerate. “He had a lot of fun. And if it gave him back some confidence, some energy, it was interesting”he confided, visibly delighted with the player’s attitude. According to him, the Parisian environment, discreet but influential, “blended into a group that lives well” And “took what there was to take”. Back at his best, Zaire-Emery made 12 consecutive starts with PSG, proving that he was able to take advantage of this break to bounce back better. The Parisian Titi now hopes to have some time this Thursday against Ukraine, in his garden, at the Parc des Princes.
