The Lyonnais risk not losing their temper. Particularly upset against Mr. Bastien after their defeat conceded to the wire, Sunday, against PSG, the Gones were finally (in part) comforted by the Technical Directorate of Arbitration.

Because for the DTA, the second Parisian goal scored shortly after the half-hour mark by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could in fact have been refused. Consequence of the fault committed at the start of the action by Vitinha Tanner Tessmann on recovery.

On Monday, Amaury Delerue, manager of referees at the DTA, spoke of a “gray zone” on this subject. Tuesday, the body leans more in favor of a cancellation of the Parisian goal.

Cancellation of the goal recommended

“Considering the contact of the right leg of the Parisian player on the back of the supporting leg of the Lyon player very slightly before the deflection of the ball, this contact being able to explain the fall of the Lyon player, the technical decision prioritized by the Refereeing Department is the cancellation of the goal and the resumption of the game with a direct free kick in favor of the Lyon team”announced the DTA in a press release.

Mr. Bastien and Mr. Brisard, responsible for the video, on the other hand, made the right decision concerning a possible handball from Illia Zabarnyi in the area. For the members of the DTA, Ruben Kluivert in fact slightly pushes a Parisian player at the start of the action, which influences the Ukrainian’s jump, and the hand of the former Bournemouth player is not proven either.
