Relations between clubs and selections are often complicated when it comes to making certain players available. Between Spain and FC Barcelona, a new incident occurred after that of last September and the pubalgia which then declared itself for Lamine Yamal. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) published a vitriolic press release in which it announced the withdrawal of the Blaugrana nugget for the matches against Georgia and Turkey.

On its site, the RFEF expressed its anger and targeted, without mentioning it, FC Barcelona.
“The medical services of the RFEF would like to express their surprise and discomfort after learning at 1:47 p.m. this Monday, November 10, the day of the start of the official training camp with the national team, that Lamine Yamal had undergone an invasive radiofrequency procedure the same morning for the treatment of his pubic discomfort. »

And the Federation has clarified the reason for its wrath.
“This procedure was carried out without prior communication with the medical staff of the selection, the details having only been known through a report received (Monday)
evening at 10:40 p.m., stipulating the medical recommendation of a rest of seven to ten days. »

Lamine Yamal released

Consequently, and “Giving absolute priority to the health, safety and well-being of the player, the RFEF has taken the decision to release the athlete from the current summons”. In other words, Lamine Yamal is officially forfeited and sent home. The player presented himself on Monday to have his state of health noted.

In any case, it is a new tense chapter in relations between FC Barcelona and the Spanish Federation. Lamine Yamal will now take advantage of this rest time to try to finally completely recover from this pubalgia that has been following him for months.
