The Juventus board of directors, meeting this morning under the chairmanship of Gianluca Ferrero, formalized the appointment of Damien Comolli to the position of president and general manager. The former president of Toulouse succeeds Maurizio Scanavino, whose mandate ended on November 7. This decision results in the abolition of the separate position of general manager, with Comolli being given administrative powers in continuity with the previous structure.

Arriving in Turin last summer after five years at the head of the Toulouse club, Comolli will have the mission of consolidating the sporting management of Juventus. In collaboration with Giorgio Chiellini and Frédéric Modesto, he will have to appoint a new sports director to complete the organization chart. Marco Ottolini, former sporting director of Genoa and former member of the Bianconero recruitment service, is the favorite for this position.
