New milestone for Emanuel Emegha! After quickly establishing himself as one of the best attackers in Ligue 1, the RC Strasbourg captain has just been called up for the first time in the Netherlands team.

Former international hopefuls, Emegha, 22, has been called up for the Oranje’s next two matches. Leader of its World Cup qualifying group, Ronald Koeman’s team plays a decisive match in Poland on Friday, before hosting Lithuania three days later.

Emegha, strong comeback

Away from the field for a little over a month due to a thigh injury, Emegha marked his return with a decisive double against Lille (2-0). This first call-up to the Dutch team will allow him to increase his rating even further, even if the native of The Hague has already signed up with Chelsea for next season.
