At only 18 years old, Lamine Yamal is already one of the most valuable players of FC Barcelona, but his young age and his indispensable role mean that the physical state of the prodigy must be monitored particularly carefully. According to the Catalan daily Mundo Deportivothe club called on a Belgian doctor specializing in pubalgia, having treated more than 3,000 cases in sport, to assess the young striker’s situation regarding his recent injury. His conclusions are reassuring: he judges the player to be in good condition and approves the follow-up put in place by Barça’s medical services, both in terms of physical preparation and physiotherapy. The specialist insists on the importance of treating pubalgia as soon as it appears, as was the case for Lamine Yamal.
The latter must, however, continue to scrupulously follow the recommendations of doctors and physical trainers to maintain their level and avoid the reappearance of pain. During the preparation for the match against Celta Vigo, coach Hansi Flick also welcomed the player’s new involvement in training: “Lamine has changed his discipline, he is better now, he works a lot, on the field and in the gym, and it is very important for this injury that he works like this”. The Blaugrana club is therefore not worried about the physical situation of its young talent, who continues to progress and find good form after a difficult match against Real Madrid two weeks ago.
