Real Madrid announced this Monday that Thibaut Courtois “suffered from an injury to the long adductor muscle of his right leg, confirmed following medical examinations carried out during the day”. The Merengue club clarified that the condition of the Belgian goalkeeper “would be re-evaluated in the coming days to determine the exact duration of its unavailability”while the Madrid media speak of a two-week absence.

With this absence, Thibaut Courtois will miss the next two matches of the Red Devils, against Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein, scheduled as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and decisive for first place in the group. As a reminder, Real Madrid also announced Federico Valverde’s injury earlier this morning.
