A few days ago, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta expressed his desire to organize a special event at the new Camp Nou to celebrate Lionel Messi and his shared history with the Catalan club. If the Spanish leader indicated that this would not take place “before the end of 2026”we did not have to wait until then to see the Pulga return to the pitch of the stadium where he was born, grew up and became the greatest legend of the Blaugrana.

Messi secretly visited the new Camp Nou on Sunday evening. On his Instagram account, the Argentinian posted several photos in the enclosure, accompanied by a message which suggests the hope of seeing him again one day set foot on this pitch as a player, whatever the nature of the meeting: “Last night, I returned to a place that I miss terribly. A place where I was so happy. You (the fans) have made me feel many times like the happiest person in the world here. I hope that one day I can come back, and not just to say goodbye as a player…” There is no doubt that the Barcelona fans started to dream after these words.
