Solid and diligent, AS Rome won without trembling against Udinese (2-0) at the Stadio Olimpico, confirming its recovery in the league after a mixed start to autumn. Under the orders of Gian Piero Gasperini, the Giallorossi delivered a serious performance, marked by constant technical and collective domination against a powerless Friulian team. Roma opened the scoring shortly before the break thanks to Lorenzo Pellegrini, author of a perfectly executed penalty (42nd) after a foul by Kabasele on Matías Soulé. After half-time, the Romans continued to dictate the tempo and logically doubled the lead thanks to Zeki Çelik (61st), opportunistic in the area after good work from Dovbyk on the right wing.

Opposite, Kosta Runjaić’s Udinese never seemed able to worry the Roman defense, despite some flashes from Nicolò Zaniolo, back at the Olimpico. Too timid offensively and in difficulty in the duels, the Friulian club logically bows and remains mired at the bottom of the ranking. With this success, Roma continues its rise in the standings and regains confidence ahead of a busy schedule. Gasperini seems to have found the balance between defensive rigor and offensive creativity, while Udinese, still in search of benchmarks, remains in the soft underbelly.
