Benjamin Pavard is back on track. This Saturday, the French defender took part in Olympique de Marseille’s success against Brest (3-0) at home in Ligue 1, delivering a good performance.

Two weeks earlier, the 2018 world champion had been involved in the two goals conceded by the Olympians against Sporting (1-2) in the Champions League. Three days later, he did it again by causing a penalty and scoring a goal against his camp on the pitch of RC Lens (1-2) in the championship.

“They weren’t happy”

Despite these difficult times, the neo-Phocéen knows that he can count on the support of his supporters, as he explained on the microphone of beIN SPORTS. “I knew that as long as we wore our jerseys, the Marseille supporters would always be behind us. Afterwards, we had bad results in recent weeks, they were not happy,” he confided.

“There were still many of them today, I think sold out and they were loud from the first to the last minute. So, we are very happy to have been able to celebrate this victory with the supporters”added the child from Maubeuge.
