Present in front of the press after the draw against Tottenham on Saturday (2-2), Manchester United coach, Rúben Amorim, expressed the possibility of recruiting a new striker in January. The match against Spurs was marked by injuries to Benjamin Šeško, Harry Maguire and Casemiro, the Slovenian striker having left the field with knee pain. He will take tests to find out how serious it is.

Faced with these physical problems and the future absence of several internationals who have gone to the African Cup of Nations (Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui), the Portuguese technician has therefore confirmed his intention to strengthen himself during the winter transfer window. “We have to check everything, see what happened to Ben (Šeško). Of course we are going to have a problem with the CAN, but we already knew that. We can prepare in the summer, but then a lot of players no longer play, so managing this situation will be difficult. Let’s see, when the transfer window opens, if we can improve the team and fix some things.”explained the former Sporting CP coach.
