AC Milan conceded an unexpected draw on the pitch at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, held by a courageous Parma (2-2) as part of the 11th day of Serie A. Second in the championship before the match, the Lombard club thought they had done the hard part by quickly leading 2-0 thanks to Alexis Saelemaekers (12th) and Rafael Leão from the penalty spot (25th). Dominant, Massimiliano Allegri’s men, however, lacked defensive rigor and were surprised. Just before the break, Adrián Bernabé reduced the gap with a splendid strike (45th+1), giving Parma hope.
In the second half, Enrico Delprato took advantage of a poorly defended corner to equalize (62nd), plunging the Tardini into euphoria. Despite a lot of pressure from Milan in the last quarter of an hour, the Rossoneri could not find the fault, coming up against an excellent Zion Suzuki. This result is a poor performance for Milan, who remain 2nd, but are letting valuable points slip away in the title race. Parma, for its part, remains stuck at the bottom of the table in 17th place, but can rely on this courageous performance to hope to relaunch itself in the fight for maintenance.
