This Saturday, the 4 p.m. multiplex in the Premier League offered us two matches between teams who have had a precarious start to the season. Impressive in their new stadium, Everton hosted Fulham. A balanced match, but one which the Toffees had to win after three games without a victory. And at the end of a successful performance, the Mersey club won quite calmly. After a balanced first period, the Mersey club opened the scoring just before the break thanks to Idrissa Gueye (1-0, 45th). Inspired in the second half, David Moyes’ men doubled the lead at the end of the match thanks to Michael Keane (2-0, 81st).

With this success, Everton climbs to 11th place and Fulham stagnates in 15th place. In the other match of the day, West Ham won at the London Stadium against Burnley. Despite Zian Flemming’s opener for the Clarets (0-1, 35th), the capital club reacted well with goals from Callum Wilson (1-1, 44th), Thomas Soucek (2-1, 77th) and Kyle Walker-Peters (3-1, 87th). The reduction of the gap at the end of the match by Jaylen Cullen (3-2, 90 + 7th) did not prevent West Ham from coming back to the level of their opponent of the evening, seventeenth.
