SM Caen is going through a complicated period. Down to the National last season, the Norman club is struggling to find color despite the recent arrival of Kylian Mbappé and his entourage at the head of the club. Expectations were high, but the reality is much harsher: Caen continues to struggle in the championship (10th) and struggles to convince its supporters.
The situation has become even worse in recent hours after the words of a song by Orelsan: “Yeah, you’re going to sink your city like the Mbappé”. The Real Madrid player was quick to respond on his X account, tackling the rapper:
“You are welcome to save your city Orelsan. PS: the guy just begged us to come in with 1% (of the capital) without paying because he doesn’t have any money but to have the good image of the little guy from Normandy”.

If some consider Orelsan’s song second-rate and point out Mbappé’s lack of perspective, others see it as a possible media stunt to promote the record. But another outing from the Mbappé clan, who doesn’t give up and openly criticizes the rapper’s attitude, rekindles the controversy.
According to The Parisiana partner of the club close to the Caen management severely attacked Orelsan in a since-deleted tweet, denouncing “intellectual laziness” of the artist. “Orelsan has the means and an image allowing him to help or invest. He never did it (…) and comes to blame those who invest their money to try to save the club”reports Foot01.
