Atlético de Madrid suffered, but ended up winning (3-1) against a combative Levante at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. Surprised in the first period by Manu Sánchez’s equalizer (21st), shortly after Madrid opened the score on Adrián de la Fuente’s CSC (12th), the Colchoneros took time to find the fault in a well-organized Granota block. True to his principles, Diego Simeone revived his team after the break, focusing on intensity and depth.

The Madrid revolt ended up paying thanks to Antoine Griezmann, once again decisive after his entry into play, who scored in the 61st minute, before Atlético definitively took the upper hand thanks to its physical and collective superiority, symbolized by the Frenchman’s double (80th). This success allows the Rojiblancos to consolidate their 3rd place in the ranking and stay in the wake of the leading duo. Levante, despite an encouraging performance, leaves empty-handed and remains stuck in 17th position, still looking for a second wind in this demanding La Liga.
