PSG experienced a real nightmare on Tuesday in the Champions League. And the defeat (2-1) conceded against Bayern Munich ultimately seems insignificant compared to the avalanche of injuries suffered by the capital club. In one evening, the European champions lost three of their best players: Ousmane Dembélé, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes.
But the evening was also experienced as a tragedy in Morocco. Victim of a terrible tackle from Luis Diaz, Achraf Hakimi suffers from a very severe sprained ankle and has been uncertain for the African Cup of Nations, which begins on December 21.
The former Interista will ultimately be absent between six and eight weeks and should therefore be able to play this CAN in Morocco. “We will do everything to ensure that Achraf is 100% fit against the Comoros (AFCON opening match on December 21 at 8 p.m.). And even if he can’t, he’ll be there. He is our best player and the leader”confided Walid Regragui to this effect this Friday.
Death threats against a journalist
Luis Diaz was no less violently criticized in Morocco. Journalist for Mouv and for RFI, Said Amdaa did not hesitate to describe the Bayern player as a “Criminal”. An attack which earned him a serious backlash.
Said Amdaa received insults and threats on social networks and was forced to switch his accounts to private mode.
“My apologies to the Colombian people and to Luis Diaz. I’m sorry I offended you, that wasn’t my intention.”he wrote on his banner, on X.
