At only 31 years old, Léo Dubois, former right back of the France team (13 caps) and OL, announced that he was ending his professional career. The former OL captain says he tried everything to extend his adventure on the pitch, without success: “I had two operations during my career in Nantes and Lyon which concerned my external menisci. Today, I have pain that arises from this, on my cartilages. I believed in it until the end, but my knees no longer allow me. » A brutal observation that he is now trying to accept: “it’s very complicated because it falls on me a bit. I would have liked to be able to continue to enjoy the field. I thought these years were going to be my best. » Despite the pain, Dubois wants to move forward, without bitterness: “I have always had this ability to bounce back. I will manage to move on. The world of football locked me into a different ecosystem from life. Today, I discover everything there is around, and I realize that I have a lot of things to learn. »
