Hit in the calf yesterday against Bayern Munich (1-2), Ousmane Dembélé will have to observe a rest period of several weeks. The French international will also miss a third meeting with the French team, while Didier Deschamps will unveil his list this Thursday. In Rothen ignitesthe former French international, Benoît Costil, criticized a lack of precaution on the part of Luis Enrique towards his player.

Since Ousmane’s return from injury, on a personal level, I have never felt a player who was fully confident in his physical abilitiesexpresses the former Rennes goalkeeper. We have often felt him on the bench, and yesterday, we all expected him to start on the bench. I found that there was a lack of precaution towards Ousmane. Ousmane still has a history of injuries, and it would have been more judicious to bring him on during the match, especially in a very high intensity Champions League match. During the international break, we could possibly discuss with the Blues staff to find out what we are doing: is he going or is he not going? There was this 15-day truce which could have revived Ousmane… So why am I incriminating Luis Enrique even if he has a lot of credit? I find that there was a lack of precaution with such an important player and with such a history of injuries.
