This Thursday, early in the afternoon, Didier Deschamps revealed his list for the last two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup. Aurélien Tchouaméni does not appear in it.
The 25-year-old midfielder is injured in his left thigh.
“Following the examinations carried out today by the Real Madrid medical service on our player Aurélien Tchouameni, an injury to the semitendinosus muscle of the left leg was diagnosed. Its progress will be closely monitored”we can read in a press release published by Real Madrid.
The French coach chose to recall Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery and Manchester City striker Rayan Cherki. More surprisingly, N’Golo Kanté is also one of the 24 players called up.
