The bad news is indeed flying in a squadron this season at PSG. While the Parisian club is worried about its essential right-back Achraf Hakimi, victim of a major sprain after a bad tackle from Luis Diaz on Tuesday evening during the Champions League clash between Paris and Bayern, the other bad news of the evening has been partly eclipsed.
The nature of the verdict, however, is remembered by everyone this Wednesday since the 2025 Ballon d’Or is free from further long weeks of unavailability. Hit in the calf against the Munich team after complaining of hamstrings a few days earlier against Nice in the championship, the person concerned is suffering from a muscle injury, reports RMC.
This sentence of course induces the outright forfeit of the former Barcelona player for the shock of the 12e day of Ligue 1 between OL and PSG this Sunday in Lyon. It also makes official the absence of the attacker for the next meeting of the Blues at Clairefontaine, this Monday, November 10.
Already a month and a half of absence this season
A hard blow obviously for the France team which must play these last two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup against Ukraine (November 13 at the Parc des Princes) and Azerbaijan (16 in Baku). Especially since Désiré Doué and Bradley Barcola are respectively injured and victims of muscle fatigue.
For Ousmane Dembélé, this is already a second setback this season after the hamstring injury which kept him away from the field for 45 days during the months of September and October. Not to mention his 25 days of convalescence which impacted his Club World Cup this summer due to a thigh injury.
