Paris Saint-Germain experienced a very delicate first period against Bayern Munich this Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain expected titanic opposition in this clash against Bayern Munich for their 4th outing in the Champions League this season. The first period of this great match generated an even more worrying scenario.

It even turned into a nightmare, as the minutes passed. The first painful sequence came midway through the second half. Already trailing since the 4th minute, the Parisians thought they would equalize on a goal from Ousmane Dembélé, but the Ballon d’Or was offside by a few centimeters.

After his goal was disallowed following VAR intervention, the French world champion felt discomfort in the back of his thigh which forced him to go out immediately. Kang-in Lee replaced him in the 24th minute of play.

A horrible foul on Hakimi

One man embodied all Parisian worries: Luis Diaz. Author of the first goal, the former Liverpool winger scored the second following an error from Marquinhos (32nd), but he then showed his worst face by committing a mistake of rare violence.

On an overflow on the right side of Achraf Hakimi, the Colombian made a tackle from behind. The PSG defender collapsed and burst into tears while holding his leg, before leaving in his turn, replaced in the 42nd by Senny Mayulu. After handing out a yellow card, the referee changed his decision to show red. The injury seems very serious to Achraf Hakimi. If the club should communicate quickly about him, we can already imagine a package for the African Cup of Nations, of which he was one of the stars expected as leader of the host country, Morocco.
