Serbian football is in mourning. Mladen Zizovic, coach of FK Radnički 1923, died in the middle of a match after suffering a heart attack during a Serbian D1 match against Mladost Lučani.

While his team had taken the lead (2-0), the young 44-year-old technician collapsed in the 22nde
minute. Treated by emergency services, the former attacking midfielder was transported to hospital but died during his transfer.

He had arrived at the club two weeks earlier

The meeting initially resumed but was definitively stopped after the announcement of his death. When the terrible news fell, the players of FK Radnički 1923 collapsed on the pitch and his assistant, Bojan Puzigaca burst into tears.

Former Bosnian international, Mladen Zizovic was appointed head of the club only a fortnight ago after leaving the Borac Banja Luka club this summer following its elimination in the preliminary round of the Conference League.
