The best striker in the world? According to the players, this is the case. Kylian Mbappé is at the forefront of the eleven of the year revealed this Monday by Fifpro, following a vote among footballers.
Recently awarded the Golden Shoe (top European league scorer), Mbappé is associated in attack with Ousmane Dembélé and Lamine Yamal, the first two of the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
If we compare to the Ballon d’Or, we see that Mbappé (7th) passed Mohamed Salah (4th) and Raphinha (5th), who had been better considered in the journalists’ votes.

In the rest of the eleven, the other surprise could be the presence in midfield of Jude Bellingham, despite a season without much relief with Real Madrid. Otherwise, in addition to Dembélé, we find four other players who won the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain. They are Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes and Vitinha.
Note that this is the sixth time in his career (and the fourth year in a row) that Mbappé has been named in the Fifpro 11 of the year. He thus equals Marcelo, Xavi and Luka Modric. Only Dani Alves (8 times), Andres Iniesta (9), Sergio Ramos (11), Cristiano Ronaldo (15) and Lionel Messi (17) have more appearances in this eleven.
