Liverpool returned to success in the Premier League this Saturday against Aston Villa (2-0). Thanks to the achievements of Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch, the Reds managed to stop the bleeding after several weeks of crisis.

The Egyptian striker took the opportunity to score his 250th goal in Liverpool colors. He also equaled Wayne Rooney’s record with Manchester United, totaling 276 offensive contributions (188 goals and 88 assists) for a single club in the English elite.

“It’s something I don’t take for granted.”

The Liverpool star is thus getting a little closer to the second top scorer in the club’s history, Roger Hunt (285 goals), even if the untenable Ian Rush (346) still remains far ahead. Asked about this, the 4th place winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or said he felt “super good”.

After more than eight years at Anfield, Salah still relishes the pleasure of scoring the net with the Reds:
“It’s a great feeling to score goals and win trophies at such a prestigious club. It’s something I don’t take for granted. I am so happy and so proud. »
