While he impressed on Friday evening with a very successful Joker disguise, Erling Haaland has also sparked controversy in recent days after revealing, in a video published on his YouTube channel, that he drank two glasses of raw milk a day. The Manchester City star striker has touted the habit as one of the secrets to his success, saying it “super food” East “good for stomach, skin, bones and muscles”according to information from the BBC. The Norwegian, who is very keen on his health and known for particular routines combining cladding, LED light therapy and tomahawk steak, explained that this practice helps him stay in top shape.

But his statements provoked a reaction from the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the British body responsible for food safety, which wanted to alert the public to the risks linked to the consumption of raw milk. According to the FSA, this product “may contain harmful bacteria that can cause food poisoning” and its consumption is not recommended for vulnerable people, such as children, pregnant women or those over 65. Since the player’s video, demand for raw milk has increased sharply, although it is not on sale in UK supermarkets.
