Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed he started learning Spanish just 5 months before his move to Real Madrid, foiling speculation he had long been preparing to leave Liverpool. With the help of his language coach Sara Duque, he studied specific football vocabulary to be able to communicate with his teammates, his coach and Madrid supporters.

She praised the determination of the English full-back, emphasizing that his ease during the presentation at the Bernabeu was not only a question of language, but of respect and professionalism. Alexander-Arnold, who will return to Anfield next Tuesday in the Champions League, explained that learning Spanish quickly allowed him to integrate better and show his commitment to his new club. For the moment, he is not yet living the dream he hoped for, hampered by injuries and still in the shadow of a still very present Carvajal.
