The nightmare continues for Christopher Nkunku. After swapping the Chelsea tunic for that of AC Milan, the French striker thought he would find the playing time that he was greatly lacking in London.
But his expectations came up against a harsh reality. Under the orders of Massimiliano Allegri, Nkunku only started once in six matches, during the second round of the Italian Cup against Lecce (3-0).
Giménez sacrificed for Nkunku?
The transfer of Nkunku, estimated at 43 million euros including bonus, is not yet taking the expected turn. This situation is partly explained by a truncated summer preparation, which affected his physical condition and his pace of play.
The native of Lagny-sur-Marne could see his destiny linked to that of Santiago Giménez. Indeed, while a departure of the Mexican striker remains possible, a return of Nkunku to the forefront cannot be ruled out.
