Désiré Doué is fixed. Hit in the right thigh and evacuated on a stretcher during PSG’s draw at Lorient on Wednesday evening (1-1), the young 20-year-old midfielder will miss several weeks of competition. While Luis Enrique was preparing to replace him, the Frenchman collapsed after attempting a final cross in the 61st minute, causing concern among the staff and the public.

Evacuated on a stretcher, the Parisian immediately underwent medical examinations. An injury that left us fearing the worst, especially since he had just returned from a calf problem that had kept him away from the field for the entire month of September. This Thursday afternoon, PSG communicated a first diagnosis.

The club confirmed that Désiré Doué was suffering from “right thigh muscle injury”specifying that he would be unavailable for a few weeks. “A point will be made after the international break”added the official press release without giving a precise date of resumption.

A return before 2026?

But according to information from RMC SportPSG hopes to be able to count on Doué again before the end of 2025, or even the beginning of January 2026. The club is banking on a gradual return which could allow it to play again in the Champions League, in particular the last two days of the league phase against Sporting (January 20) or Newcastle (January 28).

In the meantime, the former Rennais will miss several major matches, including the clash against Bayern Munich next Tuesday (9 p.m.) at the Parc des Princes and the reception of Tottenham on November 26. He will also forfeit the next meeting of the Blues, as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
