Initially, the Neroverdi won 2-1 thanks to goals from Laurienté (54th) and Pinamonti (65th). Sebastien Esposito reduced the gap at the end of the match (73rd). Promoted Sassuolo climbs to 10th place, while Cagliari remains 14th.
The other meeting was more stingy in terms of goals (0-0).
