The 9th day of Serie A closed this Thursday evening with two matches on the program: Cagliari – Sassuolo, and Pisa – Lazio. Initially, the Neroverdi won 2-1 thanks to goals from Laurienté (54th) and Pinamonti (65th). Sebastien Esposito reduced the gap at the end of the match (73rd). Promoted Sassuolo climbs to 10th place, while Cagliari remains 14th.

The other meeting was more stingy in terms of goals (0-0). Nobody was able to tell the difference between Pisa, also promoted, and Lazio, who had caused the dismissal of Igor Tudor in recent days by beating Juventus. A draw which does not suit the Biancocelesti, 11th in Serie A. Pisa is groping its way forward and finds itself 17th.
