Horror: this famous footballer responsible for manslaughter

A professional footballer has been implicated in manslaughter.

It is a tragedy which was announced this Tuesday, on the other side of the Alps. An 81-year-old man was found dead following a road accident.

Spanish footballer Josep Martinez accidentally collided with this disabled man when he was on his way to training this Tuesday morning.

The man, who was in a wheelchair, could not be resuscitated despite being hospitalized, and eventually died.

A goalkeeper known in Italy

Josep Martinez has been playing at Inter Milan as a replacement goalkeeper behind Yann Sommer since 2024. This Spanish international goalkeeper (one selection) had a stint at Genoa after experiences in Germany.

The 27-year-old footballer has not yet spoken publicly after this tragedy.
