Nuno Mendes at PSG, it's over!

Nuno Mendes, regularly announced as leaving, assures that he wishes to stay at PSG and concentrate on the collective and its objectives, putting an end to the rumors.

Nuno Mendes has reached a milestone at Paris Saint-Germain. Arriving in 2021 in the form of loan from Sporting Portugal, the left back convinced in his first season, pushing the club to exercise its purchase option set at 40 million euros. He then extended his contract until 2029, with an optional year.

In an interview given to West Francethe Portuguese defender looked back on his debut in Paris and his adaptation.
“It was another country, another language, but I was lucky to have Danilo (Pereira) here, he helped me a lot. I quickly tried to learn French to get out of the house. It’s a great club with great players, I wanted to be part of it”he confides.

PSG at the top of the list

Asked about the rumors sending him far from the capital last summer, notably to Manchester United, the 23-year-old player was keen to clarify the situation: ” No. My agent spoke a lot with the president, I always wanted to continue here, to put PSG at the highest level. It was wanted by both sides. It's a pleasure to play here. »

Now tenth in the last Ballon d'Or, Nuno Mendes sees bigger and dreams of reaching the heights, like his teammate Ousmane Dembélé, recently awarded. “I am very happy for Ousmane. I concentrate on my work. If I manage to win individual trophies, so much the better, but the collective remains the most important”he concludes.
