For several weeks, Liverpool has been purring. Despite a very expensive summer transfer window with 482 million euros spent on arrivals, the Reds cannot be as consistent as last year. Despite a clear victory in Frankfurt in the Champions League, the Mersey club conceded a fifth defeat in six matches this Saturday at Brentford. Faulty on a goal during this meeting, Virgil Van Dijk took it for his rank. In his latest podcast, Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney took shots at Dutch defender and Mohamed Salah:

Nobody saw it coming, they were hit quickly, hard, and I think they are struggling to find a way out. This is a time when the manager and team leaders must find a solution very quickly. Both players, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, signed new contracts, but I don't think they have really led the team this season. I think body language says it all, and I think we see slightly different body language from these two. They are the two best players on the team and if their body language is not correct it affects everyone else. I could be wrong, but if I were a Liverpool supporter or the manager, I would be very concerned about this.»
