Criticized from all sides after his team's defeat against Real Madrid, Lamine Yamal had a very complicated Sunday afternoon. Whistled on every ball taken, the Barcelona genius most certainly paid for his controversial remarks before the Clasico. As a reminder, he accused Real Madrid of “stealing” and of only “complaining” during a show with Ibai Llanos. The latter finally admitted Sunday evening, in a video, that he felt partly responsible for the turn of events.
“The chaos that erupted around the Clasico and around the world because of what Lamine Yamal said is partly my fault. It was confirmed that all this spread to the locker room after seeing the actions of Carvajal, Vinicius and Courtois. You don't have to be very smart to figure out that things like 'You talk a lot' are due to what happened at the Kings League. My intention was to have a good time. I didn't think Lamine's words would be taken out of context or misinterpreted.”.
