In Reggio Emilia, AS Roma provided the essentials (0-1) against a combative but offensively powerless Sassuolo. The Giallorossi, well in place under the leadership of Gian Piero Gasperini, quickly took the lead thanks to Paulo Dybala, scorer of the only goal of the match in the 16th minute with a precise strike from the edge of the area. Behind, Roma managed their advantage seriously, relying on the solidity of Mancini and Ndicka, and the efforts of Cristante in the middle. Sassuolo, despite a good first period and a few attempts by Berardi and Pinamonti, never found the fault. Fabio Grosso's men logically lost at the Mapei Stadium, while Rome had a second success in 3 games and remained firmly anchored at the top of the table.

Show and twists and turns at the Stadio Bentegodi, where Verona and Cagliari neutralized each other after an open match (2-2). Hellas thought they could hold on to their victory after the achievements of Roberto Gagliardini (23rd) and Gift Orban (59th), which gave the Scaligeri a clear advantage. But the Sardinians refused to give up: Rayan Idrissi reduced the gap with a superb curler in the 77th minute, before young Mattia Felici equalized at the end of added time (90+2ᵉ). Frustration for Paolo Zanetti's men, who let two points slip away at home, while those of Fabio Pisacane can be satisfied with a courageously snatched draw. A sharing of points which hardly changes the situation at the bottom of the ranking, but which offers a little breathing room to Cagliari.
