The Champions League goes unencrypted, it's official

Holder of the rights to European Cups, including the prestigious Champions League, until 2027, Canal+ is preparing to celebrate its 41st anniversary. For the occasion, the encrypted channel decided to mark the occasion.

“ We have a gift for you », We can read in a message posted by Canal+ on X (formerly Twitter) this Saturday. This gift is none other than the unencrypted broadcast of the multiplex of the 4e Champions League day, next Tuesday, November 4.

This multiplex will be available for free on the Canal+ application, with attractive posters planned for that evening. Among the seven matches on the program, we find a highly anticipated PSG-Bayern Munich, as well as a meeting between Real Madrid and Liverpool at Anfield.

In addition to these two shocks, football fans will be able to follow five other matches simultaneously. There will be Atlético Madrid-Union Saint-Gilloise, Tottenham-Copenhagen, Olympiakos-PSV Eindhoven, Juventus-Sporting and Bodo/Glimt-Monaco.

These unencrypted broadcasts remain exceptional, but are part of the Canal group's new policy since its departure from TNT last spring. “ Since we left TNT, we can be in the clear whenever we want within the limit of six hours a day.
