Trained at Stade Rennais and notably with Arsenal, OL and OM, Sylvain Wiltord has been discreet lately. It must be said that the former French international (92 caps), winner of the Euro in 2000, has disconnected from football. Today he devotes himself to his new passion: padel.

Now far from the field, the former striker, now 51 years old, saw a player from Olympique Lyonnais join him in the number of goals scored in the European Cup in the Rhone jersey. This is Corentin Tolisso.

Author of the opening score against Basel (2-0), Thursday evening for the 3e day of the Europa League, Corentin Tolisso thus registered his 8e goal in the European Cup with Les Gones. He thus joins Sylvain Wiltord and Maxwel Cornet, as recalled by account Football Stats.

Tolisso also joins Källström

Furthermore, Tolisso scored the fastest goal for OL – 3e minute – on the European scene since Kim Källström. The former Swedish midfielder also scored in the 3rd minute of play against Debrecen in the Champions League on September 29, 2009.

Finally, the Lyon captain honored his 46 appearances in the European Cup during this victory against the Swiss Basel. Which earned him the Top 10 most capped players in the history of OL in the European Cup, ahead of Christophe Delmotte (45 matches).
