As part of the 10th day of La Liga, Girona, bottom at kick-off, hosted Oviedo, penultimate. A poorly classified duel which initially turned to the advantage of the visitors thanks to a penalty from Viñas (0-1, 38th). Trailing at the break, Girona cracked again after returning from the locker room and Rondon took the opportunity to make the break (0-2, 57th).
With their backs against the wall and suffering in the game, the locals were however going to completely reverse the course of this game. Buoyed by a double from Stuani, from the penalty spot, and a goal from former Marseillais Ounahi, Michel Sanchez Muñoz's men thought they would pocket the three points but Colombatto equalized on the gong (90+8th). With this draw (3-3), which does not suit either team, Girona remains 20th. Oviedo is 19th.
