An excess of confidence which could have consequences. Against Pisa this Friday evening, AC Milan almost conceded their second defeat of the season… once again against a promoted team. The Rossoneri finally showed character to secure the draw at the very end of the match thanks to rookie Zachary Athekame (2-2). On a corner played in two stages, Modric found him at 25 meters: the Swiss triggered a shot with a vicious rebound which left Semper speechless.

Before him, it was Rafael Leao who opened the scoring very early at the start of the match. The Portuguese scored a nice goal after crossing the line and curling his ball to the far post for (8th). Juan Cuadrado equalized from the penalty spot more than three years after his last goal in Serie A (59th), and for his 402nd match in the Italian championship, while Nzola allowed his team to take the advantage after being forgotten by the Milan defense (86th). Mike Maignan's teammates may regret the misses of Leao and Nukunku in the second half, which deprived them of victory. They could also go third at the end of this day. Pisa is 18th.
