The Racing Club de Lens has formalized the signing of a new recruit, from Olympique Lyonnais.

Would Pierre Sage still have resentment towards his former club? Co-best defense in the championship with OM, Lens is only in 9th place in the ranking of best attacks. A return of 12 goals scored for only 7 conceded is enough to put them in 4th place in Ligue 1, but which could change.

Just as OL did with Hans Hateboer, the Sang et Or announced the arrival of a new recruit this Friday, October 24, more than two months before the opening of the winter transfer window (from January 1 to February 2, 2026). The young striker Erawan Garnier joins the Artésiens from… Lyon precisely.

The announcement was made this Friday. Aged 19 and trained with Les Gones, the Thai U23 international (4 caps) is committed to Lens until 2027. He will first join the Elite group, before considering promotion with the professional team. “
Erawan is a talented young man and this first professional contract is a further step in his progression. We followed his profile carefully and the look of Pierre (Sage), who supervised him in Lyon, only confirmed our intention to recruit him. Erawan is a percussion piston, technically fine and focused on the team »explains Jean-Louis Leca, sporting director of Racing.
