Crazy and cruel evening in Lille

LOSC experienced a topsy-turvy match this Thursday in the Europa League. Hosts of PAOK Salonika, Lille failed, beaten 3-4 at the end of an intense meeting full of twists and turns. Everything was decided for the Mastiffs in a catastrophic first act concluded with a score of 0-3 in favor of the Greeks – this with an arbitration decision contrary to the Northerners incomprehensible to darken the picture even more.

In the second act, Lille certainly revolted with a goal from André (57th) and a double from Igamane (68th, 78th). But PAOK, after coming up against Özer from the penalty spot (70th), was able to drive home the point through Zivkovic, also author of a double (74th). To conclude, André thought he could snatch the equalizer in added time, before being caught by the patrol in the offside trap (90th + 8).

LOSC therefore lost with the improbable score of 3-4. An unexpected stop after two successes over Brann Bergen and AS Rome. For an exit from the Top 8 qualifying for the round of 16. Bruno Genesio's men, 11th, still remain well placed in this first phase of the Europa League.
