Three days before the Clasico against Real Madrid, two players, including a vice captain of FC Barcelona, were not present at today's training.

As the deadline approaches, the pressure is mounting on FC Barcelona's side. If the team aligned by Hansi Flick during the success against Olympiakos (6-1) in the Champions League on Tuesday was rather reshuffled, with in particular the tenure of Pedro Fernandez (17 years old) and Marc Casado (22 years old) in the middle, this “turnover” did not seem to be enough.

As the Spanish press explains, and in particular
Sporttwo Barça players were absent from today's training. News which greatly worries Catalonia, 72 hours before a decisive clash against Real Madrid for the title of Spanish champion (Sunday, 4:15 p.m.).

The first, less serious, is Adreas Christensen. The central defender, already out of the C1, is recovering from gastroenteritis. The second is much more annoying, since it concerns Frenkie De Jong. According to the Iberian media, the midfielder suffers from the same intestinal problem as his teammate. The Dutchman would have gone to the Blaugrana training center, before returning home after authorization from the medical staff.

A headache ahead?

Their participation in the Clasico is therefore compromised. The two players could thus join the list of recorded packages, which includes Joan Garcia, Gavi, Lewandowski and Dani Olmo. Not Ferran Torres, nor Raphinha, who both trained normally alongside Lamine Yamal, C1 starter on Tuesday.

Hansi Flick will therefore have to rack his brains if the two elements mentioned are missing. Even if, in the event of the absence of Frenkie De Jong, the most likely option would be to line up Marc Casado in midfield at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. A choice which paid off during the Spanish Super Cup final on January 12. The young midfielder, established, had greatly participated in his team's victory against the same Real Madrid (2-5).
